Position Summary

Job description

The Democratic Data Exchange (DDx) is looking for a Client Success Manager – Cycle Hire on the Client Services team to act as a liaison between DDx and our clients. The role involves promoting, assisting, and facilitating members’ participation in DDx, helping the Democratic and progressive ecosystem optimize voter contact and win elections. There are two cycle hire positions available in total with this job posting. These cycle hire positions end on December 1, 2024.

Reporting to the Director of Client Success and AV Director of Partnerships, you will have the opportunity to help to drive customer acquisition efforts for our flagship product (the Exchange), establish DDx’s role within the ecosystem, and position DDx for long-term growth opportunities. This role is uniquely positioned to advance our client acquisition and partnership strategies and plays a critical role at DDx this cycle.

Job requirements

Responsibilities:

These responsibilities are core areas of work that this role may have, but this role may also have additional duties as assigned and determined by business needs.

Client Onboarding

  • Guide new clients through the onboarding process, ensuring smooth transition and thorough understanding of our platform features and benefits.

  • Encourage and facilitate clients’ adoption of DDx products and services, highlighting key features and demonstrating their value to achieve their goals.

  • Assist in developing training and educational materials to empower clients to use DDx effectively.

Client Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.

  • Provide prompt and effective assistance to clients, troubleshooting issues and addressing inquiries.

  • Actively solicit and collect client feedback, communicating trends, and opportunities to relevant teams.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with the Client Services team to develop and execute effective client acquisition and partnership strategies.

  • Share product feedback and suggestions with DDx Product and Engineering teams.


Required Qualifications:

  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude aligned with the organization’s mission.

  • Able to juggle multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.

  • At least two years of professional experience (including internships and volunteer experience) with external partners or clients; a strong background in managing organizational information, which may include previous experience in client, operations, or project management.

  • Knowledge of political data tools and systems, such as NGP VAN.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in or with political campaigns, progressive organizations, or experience with data in electoral politics is preferred.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools, including Salesforce and Quickbase, is a plus.


Additional Requirement:

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction.


Location:

  • This is a remote position; anywhere in the US. DDx is a remote-first organization.

  • While this position is remote, this role may require 15% travel. Expected travel may include in-person gatherings a few times per year in one location in the United States (for retreats or in-depth collaborative opportunities). This would likely require travel and overnight stays in a location outside of one’s home location, though would be scheduled in advance to account for planning.

  • Ability to sit at a computer monitor for extended periods of time

Salary and Benefits:

DDx offers a competitive compensation salary and benefits package, including:

  • Company-paid healthcare, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees

  • Matching 401(k) contributions up to 3% after three months of employment

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000.


Hiring Process for This Role:

While there may be shifts to the hiring process, this is the anticipated hiring process’s steps for any candidates who advance from the application stage onwards:

  1. Phone Screening: A 30-minute audio-only initial interview with a team member.

  2. First Round Interview: A 45-60-minute audio/video interview with a team member.

  3. Second Round Interview or Written Prompt: A 60-minute audio and video interview with multiple team members OR a written prompt which may take up to two (2) hours to complete.

  4. Final Round Interview: A 30-minute audio and video interview with a senior or executive team member.

  5. Request for References: This will be a request for three (3) professional references, one of which should be a previous direct supervisor.
