Position Summary
Mission for Arizona, the 2020 Arizona Democratic Coordinated Campaign, is seeking a highly motivated and organized Deputy Data Director for our statewide program. The AZ Coordinated Campaign will play a critical role in electing Mark Kelly, and Democrats up and down the ballot including U.S. House and State Legislative districts across the state.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with in-state and national stakeholders to accomplish the following:
- Design and build reports and tools for the Arizona Coordinated team in line with key programmatic priorities, including, but not limited to Organizing, Mobilization, and Voter Protection teams
- Assist in developing targeting and resource allocation
- Create and maintain data standards to ensure data capture and hygiene
- Develop and present VAN | Votebuilder training materials to the Organizing Team in statewide, small group and one-on-one settings
- Respond to data support requests and flags
- Support other members of the Data Team to complete projects as necessary
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and platforms used by other team members
- Ability to communicate effectively within teams and across departments
- A desire to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and implement creative solutions to unique problems
- A technical skillset that includes familiarity or proficiency in a variety of programming languages/software such as (but not limited to) MS Excel, Google Suite, SQL, Tableau, Python, QGIS and R
- One previous cycle of campaign experience or equivalent political experience in a technical role and familiarity with Votebuilder / VAN preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
