RESEARCH ANALYST
We are looking for candidates to join our public opinion research team! The Research Analyst is responsible for assisting senior personnel in all tasks related to conducting public opinion surveys, including sample design, questionnaire design, data analysis, graph production, and writing. American Strategies conducts public opinion surveys for trade associations, non‐profit organizations and corporations engaged in advocacy campaigns, candidate campaigns, and clients’ internal research purposes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with background research and questionnaire development
- Assist with sample design and create demographic profiles
- Assist with field operations and monitor interviews
- Assist in production and accuracy of topline data and management of banner / cross tabulation reports
- Produce power point reports and summary memos with supervision from senior staff
- Manage and organize data archive
- Conduct custom analyses in response to client requests
- Assist with writing research presentations and other research duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- One‐ to three‐years’ experience conducting public opinion research, such as questionnaire design, survey administration data management, or data analysis
- Prefer research experience with trade associations, political organizations, political campaigns, or non‐profit groups
- Uncompromising attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong writing, proofing, and editing skills
- Bachelor1s degree in social science, statistics, mathematics, survey research, or related field
- Demonstration of strong verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
Experience with Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Experience with Qualtrics, alteryx, and/or Survey Monkey a plus
